Rape Suspect Captured in Misamis Occidental

AURORA, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 23, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Aurora MPS and Tudela MPS, Misamis Occidental, conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 12:30pm of October 22, 2018 at Brgy. Pan-ay Diot, Tudela, Misamis Occidental.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the rape suspect identified as Benito Campomanes y Villegas, 68 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Upper Sto. Niño, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape by Sexual Assault (1st count to 6th count), docketed under criminal case number 2014-10-2790 to 2014-10-2795 issued on March 4, 2014 by Hon. Judge Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge of RTC 9, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur. 

The bail bond recommended for criminal case number 2014-10-2790 is fixed in the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php200,000.00) and the bail bond recommended for criminal case number 2014-10-2791 to 2014-10-2795 is fixed in the amount of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php120,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The accused is now in the custody of Mahayag MPS for proper disposition. 

Incestuous Rape suspect arrested

AURORA, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 6, 2018) – The Combined PNP elements of Aurora MPS, Zamboanga Del Sur and Lala, MPS, Lanao Del Norte arrested rape suspect during the conduct of manhunt operation at Barangay Lanipao, Lala, Lanao del Norte at about 1:15pm of October 5, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrested wanted person as Albert Cudilla y Latchica, 49 years old, married, male and a resident of Purok- Bagakay, Barangay Lintugop, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Incestuous rape with criminal case number 18-10,1529; 18-10,1530; 18-10,1531, with no bail bond recommended and Sexual Abuse with criminal case number 18-10,1532; 18-10,1533; 18-10,1534 with bail bond recommended of One Hundred Seventy Thousand Pesos (Php170,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The WOA was duly issued by Hon. Analyn a Ramas- Costanilla, Presiding Judge of branch 30, RTC 9th judicial region, Aurora Zamboanga del Sur dated issued on June 28, 2018.

The arrested subject person is now under custody of Aurora, MPS for proper disposition.

3 Dead in Vehicular Accident at Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur

AURORA, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 1, 2018) - On September 28, 2018 at about 3:00 PM, one Pastor Romeo O. Labongray together with one Cresencio Tanghal Jr. y Balucan, 42 years old, with live-in partner, backhoe operator of Rudhil Construction & Ent., Inc., without pertinent document presented and a resident of Purok San Roque, Brgy. Waterfall, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur, voluntarily surrender to Aurora MPS after his driven heavy equipment (backhoe) engaged an accident at Brgy. Inasagan, Aurora. Zamboanga Del Sur.

Accordingly, the driver of the backhoe (Cresencio) alleged that due to the rainfall he stops working, one single motorcycle with three riders accidentally hit the bucket of his driven heavy equipment (backhoe) and the riders who sustained serious injuries were immediately brought to Aurora Community Emergency (ACE) hospital located at Brgy. Cabilinan, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that on or about 2:30pm of September 28, 2018, one Honda XRM, color black/white, bearing plate no. JA 44868, without OR & CR, driven by one Elizer Englisa y Alipan, 45 years old, married, (habal-habal) driver, without driver’s license and a resident of Sitio Lovers lane, Brgy. San Jose this municipality.

The motorcycle with two passengers identified as:

Ciela Tariman y Englis, 41 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Purok Assumption, Brgy. Inasagan, Aurora, ZDS and  

Myriel Quiño y Tariman, 1 year old and 7 months.

They were travelling from Brgy. Poblacion going to the aforesaid place. However, upon reaching at Purok Asuncion, Brgy. Inasagan, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur the single motorcycle accidentally met an accident.

As result hereof, the passengers Ciela and Myriel sustained head and body injury then were pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician at the aforesaid hospital.

After an hour the driver of the single motorcycle (Elizer) who sustained injury on his arm, head and shoulder was also pronounced dead by the attending physician.

The single motorcycle Honda XRM incurred damage on the left side cover and was brought to this office while the backhoe was left at the place of incident due to unavailability of cargo truck to transport the said heavy equipment going Aurora MPS.

Further, upon arrival of the responding team at the place of incident the single motorcycle and the backhoe were already moved from the original position.

Aurora MPS is still conducting in-depth investigation relative to the incident.
